Newspaper Weeds Away

Start putting in your plants, work the nutrients in your soil.
Wet the newspapers, put layers around the plants overlapping as you go cover with mulch and forget about weed s.
Weeds will get through some gardening plastic they will not get through wet newspapers.

Julie's Notes: I actually did this with butcher paper when I planted my garden, but then the neighborhood cats tore through it so they could use my garden as a litter box, so I need to also find a tip for keeping cats out. Mulch might help though . . . I didn't try that.
