The Dangers of Certain Birth Control Pills
Also, let me just say that this is not saying that all birth control pills are bad, or that if you are taking any that you're stupid. To each his own, and it's your body. Just know that as for me, I'm always very wary of putting anything into my system that does not naturally occur there, especially chemicals and hormones.
Menstrual cycle - very important send to all your friends.
I am sure most of you have a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece, a friend or a friend's daughter... this might be worth checking out.
PASS THIS ON EVEN IF YOU DON'T USE IT!!
Recently, this past week, my cousin Nicole Dishuk (age 31... a newly graduated student with a doctoral degree about to start her new career as a Doctor...) was flown into a nearby hospital, because she passed out. They found a blood clot in her neck, and immediately took her by helicopter to the ER to operate. By the time they removed the right half of her skull to relieve the pressure on her brain, the clot had spread to her brain causing severe damage. Since last Wednesday night, she was fighting for her life. They induced her into a coma to stop the blood flow and then operated 3 times.
Finally, they said there was nothing left that they could do. Multiple clots in the left side of her brain were found, the swelling wouldn't stop and she was on the life support. She died at 4:30 that day. She leaves behind her husband, a 2-year old, Brandon and a 4-year old, Justin.
The CAUSE of DEATH they found was a birth control she was taking that allows you to only have your period 3 times a year. Doctors said it interrupts life's menstrual cycle, and although it is FDA approved... it shouldn't be. So to the women in my address book, I ask you to boycott this product and deal with your periods once a month, so you can live the rest of the months that life has in store for you.
Please send this to every woman you know - you may save someone's life. Remember you have a cycle for a reason.
FYI: The name of this new birth control is Lybrel. If you go to Lybrel.com you will find a least 26 pages of information regarding this drug. The second birth control is Seasonique. If you go to Seasonique.com you will find at least 43 pages of information regarding this drug. The warning and side effects regarding both pills are horrible.
Please forward this to as many daughters AND sons, co-workers, friends and relatives. Several lives have already been changed.
More From Julie : This just goes to show that we should never try to mess with nature too much. People who mess with nature always end up regretting it. I'm amazed these companies are still allowed to run when people have died from using their products. Anyone with half a brain who reads these possible side effects would never, ever spend money on this. Condoms all the way baby!

Detoxifying Schemes and Scams
In case you don't feel like reading the whole thing, here is an excerpt about the scheme I found to be the most outrageous.
What has me concerned is some research I saw on really dangerous snake oil treatments as reported on a blog/podcast site at http://skeptoid.com, which had several posts written by Brian Dunning, a computer scientist who debunks pseudoscience reports as a hobby (I confirmed that the content is accurate and all quoted material below is from the author’s blog)
Mucoid plaque is supposedly a toxin naturopaths and herbal charlatans say everyone has growing inside their bowels; in fact they are created by the pill sold to purge them. In other words, the supposed cure is causing the problem making people assume the malady is real.
What you get to cure mucoid plaque is “…a bowel cleansing pill, said to be herbal, which causes your intestines to produce long, rubbery, hideous looking snakes of bowel movements, which they call mucoid plaque. There are lots of pictures of these on the Internet, and sites that sell these pills are a great place to find them. Look at www.DrNatura.com, www.BlessedHerbs.com, and www.AriseAndShine.com, just for a start.”
“Imagine how terrifying it would be to actually see one of those come out of your body. If you did, it would sure seem to confirm everything these web sites have warned about toxins building up in your intestines. But there's more to it. As it turns out, any professional con artist would be thoroughly impressed to learn the secrets of mucoid plaque (and, incidentally, the term mucoid plaque was invented by these sellers; there is no such actual medical condition). These pills consist mainly of bentonite, an absorbent, expanding clay similar to what composes many types of kitty litter. Combined with psyllium, used in the production of mucilage polymer, bentonite forms a rubbery cast of your intestines when taken internally, mixed of course with whatever else your body is excreting. Surprise, a giant rubbery snake of toxins in your toilet.”
“It's important to note that the only recorded instances of these "mucoid plaque" snakes in all of medical history come from the toilets of the victims of these cleansing pills. No gastroenterologist has ever encountered one in tens of millions of endoscopies, and no pathologist has ever found one during an autopsy. They do not exist until you take such a pill to form them. The pill creates the very condition that it claims to cure. And the results are so graphic and impressive that no victim would ever think to argue with the claim.”
More from Julie: So in closing let me just say that we should all be very wary of any product that claims to rid our body of toxins. According to the article, not one of these companies can actually tell you what these toxins are, what causes them or why they are harmful. It is all a lot of snake oil mythology. If we have to spend our money, let's be sure the spend it on what really matters. Your health is important, so just know that toxins are not threatening your health.
